I enjoyed free mimosas in the twenty-third floor executive lounge after my wedding ceremony. The view of the Grand River from my corner room made the stay feel luxurious. I also watched helicopters land on the rooftop heli-pad from my balcony while I prepared for the day. Access to the heated indoor pool and the fitness center rounded out my stay downtown.

I soaked in the indoor/outdoor hot tub after walking along the Grand River. I spent my night in a balcony suite with a sliding door between the bedroom and living area, providing privacy while I slept. Every morning I enjoyed a made-to-order omelet at the breakfast buffetwith real cooks preparing eggs on-site. The parking garage attached directly to the building made coming and going easy.

I stepped onto the warm, heated tile floor of my bathroom each morning before heading downstairs. The hosts kept the snack porch well-stocked with homemade pastries and a variety of drinks available twenty-four hours a day. During my three nights, I walked through the surrounding Heritage Hill historic district to see the mansions and visited the nearby Meyer May House for a tour.

I stayed in a 7th floor suite with high ceilings and windows wrapping around the living room and bedroom, offering views of the city. I slept under blackout blinds and used the two refrigerators inside the room. During my stay, I accessed the ice and water hydration station provided on the floor.

I used the free shuttle service to reach the Van Andel Arena for a concert, which saved me from navigating downtown traffic. My room contained a microwave and a fridge, and I parked my car in the free parking lot on the hotel. The Burger Theory restaurant sits attached to the lobby, where I grabbed a burger before heading out to walk toward the local museums.
